Remove.bg lets you remove background from Images & Photos online free

Editing pictures on Windows 10 is a super-easy task due to a large amount of free photo editing software available. However, if you want to basic picture editing, you do not need to use a native, just locate a free online photo editing tool and get it done through the web browser.

We recently came across an online tool known as Remove Image Background, and as the name suggests, it’s all about removing backgrounds from your pictures. You are not required to be a professional, apparently; just upload your photo and allow the tool to work its magic.

We gave Remove Image Background a test drive and came away with fairly good results. With that in mind, let’s discuss the good and the bad, shall we?

How does it work?

OK, so from what we can tell, it won’t remove the background if your photos unless it’s a picture of a person. If it’s merely an object, then you’ll get the following error message:

“No persons found: At the moment remove.bg only works for photos with at least one person in them. Sorry – please select an appropriate image.”

That’s exactly what we did, and you know what? It turned out perfectly.

How to remove background

Simply visit the website remove.bg, and there you’ll see a big green button that says Select a photo. Alternatively, you could choose to copy the URL of the image and paste it into the “enter a URL section.

After that, the tool will automatically remove the background from your photo like a boss, and all of this is done in seconds and without a single click.

When you’re done, you’ll see both the original and the edited image side-by-side. The edited one without its background will have a green download button below it if you’re interested.

Other changes made to picture

If you look closely at both photos, you’ll see that the edited version is darker in places. If this minor thing can be a problem for you, then you’re better off using a native Windows 10 software to manually remove the background from images. We’ve tested multiple images, and they all show the same issue.

The good news is, however, is the fact that it still looks almost true to the original, and that’s something you should be able to live with it.
